STERIS Instrument Management Services (IMS) provides independent repair services on a range of surgical devices, endoscopes and surgical instruments in addition to the manufacture and supply of surgical instruments.
The Clinical Support Specialist (IMS) manages and grows established customer relationships and identifies growth opportunities within key strategic accounts across multiple UK territories. In this position, you will play a key role within the sales team, working closely with territory managers to support customer engagement and account management.
Duties
- This role will cover North Region. As the role is to support Customer accounts across a Region in the UK, there is an expectation that the candidate will travel extensively throughout the geographical range of the Region (typically ~4 days per week), including regular visits to division offices, primarily in Northampton. A full clean driving license is required. A company car or allowance is provided.
- Works closely with individual Territory Managers and Customers, analysing Customer needs, and identifying customised solutions.
- Delivers a Customer Education programme by conducting CPD-accredited Customer training on-site to support Customers.
- Conducts equipment Preventative Maintenance Inspections in line with contractual requirements.
- Undertakes 360º Pathway Evaluations that support Customers and commercial activities and provides appropriate reporting.
- Undertakes Instrument Inventory Evaluations that support Customers and commercial activities and provides appropriate reporting.
- Utilizes advanced Customer interaction sales skills to create and deliver presentations customized to individual Customers of varying levels including Managers, Directors, Clinicians, and other senior level Customers.
- Maintains the STERIS IMS CRM system as required to document Customer information, sales activities, and other information required by the Company.
- Manages key initiatives related to sales activities, including supporting the implementation of new business opportunities and contracts.
- Utilizes market and Customer knowledge, along with research material to analyse opportunities to identify sales leads and target accounts in order to increase penetration.
- Maintains current knowledge of market trends, new product developments, and Customer needs.
- Provides assistance with preparation for and participates in trade shows.
- Provides Customer services for vacant territories if needed.
Required Experience
- Experience within Endo or Theatres or Sterile Services.
- Customer focused – ability to communicate with customers, understand their needs, meet their objectives and resolve any issues or problems (conflict management skills).
- Passion for designing and delivering training, for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to identify customer needs.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated; ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Adaptable – ability to be flexible in schedule and meet customer demands.
- Able to work for long periods and in fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage projects, communicating effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
