Responsibilities
- Unload goods deliveries using a counterbalance forklift when required, ensuring correct procedures are followed (checking expiry dates, quantities, product type, and quality).
- Dispatch finished orders via pallet and parcel collection services, create packing labels and delivery manifests.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and on time, following delivery schedules and procedures.
- Monitor and report stock discrepancies and ensure stock counts are completed as required.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner using a 3.5‑tonne Luton van, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Use the company finance system (ORACLE) to receive goods, release sales orders, and ship sales orders.
- Perform administrative tasks: process orders (sales & POs), produce manifests/labels, receive stock, conduct stock counts, and manage shipping, DPD and Viking.
- Replenish stock via ORACLE by raising purchase orders to maintain agreed stock levels.
- Comply with the Health and Safety at work Act and all onsite health and safety policies.
- Maintain a safe and efficient workplace by carrying out forklift, vehicle, and workplace inspections and observations as needed.
Qualifications
- Competency in good warehouse practices.
- Counterbalance forklift licence holder with experience (desirable; full training can be provided).
- Full UK driving licence with no more than three points and experience operating a 3.5‑tonne Luton van with tail lift.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills; accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competent in and aware of good manual handling practices.
