We are currently recruiting for a Driver vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at entry level and receive world class training. You must hold a full and up to date license.
Working Hours: 5 days out of 7 (occasional weekends). Rotating shifts: 06:00‑14:00, 14:00‑22:00.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring vehicles are driven in line with all current applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Daily Health and Safety vehicle inspections.
- Report all traffic accidents involving any company vehicle to the company insurer immediately in accordance with their requirements and notify the line manager.
- Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods to comply with the basic rules of the Transport Act 1968.
- Maintain and organise planned preventive maintenance (servicing of all company vehicles) and organise alternative vehicle cover when necessary.
- Maintain effective vehicle mileage logs and submit the mileage records to the Administration Staff on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all delivery schedules are met in accordance with the daily requirements of the service.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving license (max 3 points).
- 2 years driving experience on UK roads.
- Good customer service.
- Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
