The Senior Visual Analytics Developer III is responsible for supplying crucial analytics and business intelligence solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers alike. The core purpose of the role is to provide STERIS and our Customers, the metrics needed to quantify business performance and make strategic decisions, aggregating data from multiple sources into an efficient reporting mechanism through relational/multi-dimensional database design and development, data mining, report and dashboard design, using appropriate tools. The position also requires staying abreast with changes in technology, programming languages, and software development tools.
What You Will Do:
- Understand and translate business requirements into technical analytical specifications
- Design and build BI and Analytics solutions including Reports and Dashboards
- Identify and resolve data quality/integrity issues
- Troubleshoot BI and Analytics tools, systems and software; performance-tune applications as necessary
- Test and document all new or modified BI systems, applications and programs
- Evaluate and improve existing BI and Analytics tools, systems and software
- Work with technical team to migrate programs to Production
- Maintain and support BI and Analytics platforms
- Datawarehouse development and maintenance, including data modelling/data engineering as required
Required Experience:
- Strong visual data presentation skills through use of reporting/dashboarding tools and techniques (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, etc.) (7+ years)
- Strong statistical background, preferably with a Mathematics related degree. (7+ years)
- In-depth understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. (7+ years)
- Strong skills in coding, troubleshooting, tuning and debugging (7+ years)
- Experience in relational databases and dimensional data modelling. (7+ years)
- Proven T-SQL development skills (Microsoft SQL Server 2016+). (7+ years)
- Experience in DevOps and software development life. (7+ years)
- Experience with Cloud computing environments (e.g. Microsoft Azure) . (5+ years)
- Experience with Data Engineering and modern Data Warehouse technologies (e.g. Snowflake, Azure SQL Database) . (5+ years)
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. .Net, PowerShell, Python) . (5+ years)

- Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into IT specific requirements.
- Proficient in data analysis, defect identifications and resolutions.
