Sterimed develops, produces, converts, and markets various solutions such as bacterial barrier substrates and preformed sterilization packaging, serving both hospitals and medical device manufacturers. To support this growth, we are looking for an UK MDM Sales Manager for our MDM business unit. The mission of the area sales manager is to manage, create, identify, develop and close profitable new business in the UK market and develop a portfolio of new customers. Prospecting will be the main mission to grow business for the company in the Medical Device Manufacturer business unit, as well as looking after an existing portfolio of customers. This position also requires skills in project management, to drive product validation with our customers and be the link between them and our technical department. You must be able to turn business opportunities into profitable orders that will ensure order intake and to achieve sustainable market growth. You must be able to work collaboratively and transparently with the key stakeholders and manage customer relationships. You will also be required to build your sales budget for the year by gathering your customers forecasts and new business turned into order intake. You will be an efficient team player who can interface at all levels within the organization and who can operate successfully in a multi-disciplined and multi-cultural environment. This position involves traveling 70% of the time within the UK and potential occasional trips to South America and France for company seminars 2 to 3 times a year.

Profile required
Qualification
- Bachelor of Business Administration in international trade and business / negotiation
- Bachelor of Science, Packaging Engineering with an emphasis in international trade and business / negotiation
Working experience
- Minimum 5 years as export sales position
- B to B experience is compulsory
- Technical knowledge in medical sterile packaging or even general or food packaging background would be appreciated
