We’re looking for an experienced, people‑focused Transport Manager / Service Coordinator to lead transport operations at our Park Royal site. This is a hands‑on leadership role, managing a team of up to 25 drivers, ensuring full compliance with transport and waste legislation, and delivering a safe, reliable, customer‑focused service in a fast‑paced environment.
Working pattern:
- Monday – Friday | 10:00 – 19:00 (45 hrs per week)
- On‑call: Alternate weekends
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading Health & Safety and promoting a strong safety‑first culture
- Ensuring compliance with transport, waste and H&S legislation
- Planning and optimising routes, resources, and driver schedules
- Managing KPIs, performance data, payroll, overtime and WTD compliance
- Working closely with Fleet, Operations, Customer Service & Commercial teams
- Recruiting, developing and engaging operational teams
- Delivering excellent customer service across installs, repairs and removals
About you:
- Proven experience in transport, logistics or operational leadership
- Strong working knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
- Confident people manager who can motivate and hold teams accountable
- Data‑driven with strong organisational and IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Calm, proactive problem solver in a fast‑moving environment
Desirable:
- CPC (Transport Manager) or willingness to obtain
- IOSH qualification
- LGV and/or ADR licence
