Position Purpose: This role is designed to lead larger-scale operational and engineering projects across Stericycle’s international region, with a focus on managing multiple medium scale CAPEX improvement projects. Formal project management training, an engineering background, and experience of processing equipment and machinery will be required.
Key Job Activities:
- Produce, maintain, circulate and execute clear comprehensive project plans based upon business requirements.
- Lead on elements of large-scale projects including but not limited to commissioning and decommissioning of waste process facilities and capital upgrade projects.
- Deliver projects within agreed time and budget parameters.
- Track project expenditure.
- Provide regular project updates to senior managers and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate plant engineering projects to execution.
- Coordinate with OPS & Plant Engineering Managers to complete approved projects small/large.
- Use existing knowledge and experience to identify opportunities to reduce the time and cost of projects.
- Contractor management and liaison.
- Budget tracking and oversight.
- Support/lead on capital upgrade projects at existing company facilities.
- Provide regular project updates to Senior Management and stakeholders.
- Support the wider engineering team in their activities whilst promoting best engineering practices across the group.
- Attend training courses and seminars to maintain up to date knowledge of legislative and/or technical changes.
Education: Required Education: Associate's or equivalent.
Experience (EMEAA): Preferred Experience: Extensive knowledge in specialized field. Years of management experience preferred: 5-7 years.
Certifications and/or Licenses: Required: PRINCE2 Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Organizational skills, negotiation, oral and written communication, presentation, team and individual leadership, conflict resolution, influencing, delegating, coaching and mentoring.
