Overview
Inside Sales Executive (ISE) will be responsible for driving new customer sales within the UK independents marketplace. New customer acquisition activities will be focused on selling Stericycle services to new customers while identifying cross-sell opportunities for services. This role includes proactively and reactively targeting new customers across a range of vertical sectors. The ISE represents the best interests of Stericycle and promotes the organisation to customers and prospects. The ISE will work closely with the Inside Account Executive (IAE) and support managing sales inquiries from several ‘Independent’ customers while driving activity on new business sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new business prospects by making and taking new client communications, either by phone or email, to facilitate net new account growth.
- Deal with inbound warm leads and, where required, make outbound calls as well as following up on campaigns.
- Use the Stericycle telesales process and defined pricing and policies to ensure all new customers are secured efficiently and in line with customer expectations and business KPIs.
- Use SFDC and other company-defined IT systems to effectively manage pipelines, report activity, track sales, send contracts to clients and communicate both internally and externally in a professional manner.
- All records managed correctly in SFDC with information inputted accurately.
- Work closely with immediate local and inside sales colleagues, sales and marketing leadership teams, as well as regional Operations, Client Services, IT, and other team members to enhance the service offering available to new customers.
- Attend internal meetings and trainings fully prepared with relevant current data on market opportunities, promoting a positive and professional Sales attitude in the office and on calls to ensure high standards required by Stericycle for customer service, security, and environmental consciousness are maintained.
- Follow Stericycle policies for team members, including the Commercial DOA, Pricing book, SFDC policies, tender and bidding processes and standard codes of Ethics and Health and Safety that ensure Stericycle is a great place to work for all team members.
- Carry out market research and maintain knowledge about the clinical waste market in the defined territory, including awareness of competitor activity and new legislation, sharing with team members and sales leadership as appropriate.
Education
High school or equivalent.
Experience
- A strong negotiator with exceptional listening skills, with the ability to understand, interpret and match the circumstances to a desirable outcome suitable to all parties.
- Industry Relevant Sales Experience Is Not Essential. Demonstrable track record of driving sales growth in a telesales new business or territory management role.
- Skilled in building and leveraging relationships over the phone.
- Demonstrates the ability to work in a matrix environment working closely with Sales colleagues in internal, and regional teams as well as operations, marketing, sales operations, finance, bid team and safety and compliance to achieve the business’s goals.
- Ability to operate under pressure in a high volume, competitive telesales environment, both individually and as part of a team.
- Able to understand Sales related IT systems (Salesforce.com) and use them effectively to manage pipelines and sales activity.
- Experience of operating within a competitive, high-pressure environment, preferably as part of a target driven team.
- Energetic, highly motivated & results oriented with a constant positive attitude – motivated by success.
- Must be qualified to work in the UK and have a clean criminal records check.
- Strong computer literacy, inc but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent time management, self-discipline & organisational skills.
