Overview

As part of our ongoing commitment to safety we introduced Driver Trainers to our dedicated transport team. Our Driver Trainers support the ongoing development and training of our drivers to the highest standards of driving and road safety across our fleet of vehicles ranging from 3.5t vans to Class 1 HGV.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of the larger fleet team to develop a strategic plan to implement safety training and development packages across the UK.
- You’ll monitor standard metrics, dashboards and processes to improve driver style & reduce vehicle incidents.
- You’ll develop training packages for current and new drivers joining the business.
- Provide training and mentoring to our driver assessor network via a train the trainer approach.
- You’ll be involved in the development and implementation of a company passport to drive initiative & plan annual assessments to maintain all drivers to this level of driver skills.
To Succeed in this role
- You’ll have previous experience as an HGV Driver Trainer/assessor, with Assessment Related qualifications i.e. (Train the Trainer qualification, ADI, RTITB, RHA, SAFED and/or equivalent).
- You’ll be CPC Qualified and hold a full UK HGV C+E Driving License.
- You’ll be available to travel and stay overnight as require delivering the Company program in both classroom and field-based environments.
- You’ll work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong IT and communication skills
- You’ll keep up to date with developments in training i.e., reading relevant journals, going to meetings, and attending relevant courses.

- You’ll maintain high standards whilst working under pressure.
