Ever looked at a SOC and thought, I'd design that differently? Here's your chance. This role gives you ownership of our end‑to‑end SOC architecture, defining how our platforms, detections, and controls evolve to meet client, regulatory and business needs. You’ll play a key role in influencing how our services grow, introducing new technologies and embedding a strong security‑by‑design culture across everything we do. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week based in either Hemel Hempstead or Farnborough. Please note: you must be eligible for SC and DV clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the SOC architecture, ensuring designs, integrations and operating models meet regulatory and assurance requirements;
  • Producing both high‑ and low‑level security control designs, including defining testing requirements;
  • Setting and governing standards for detection content, including rules, use cases and correlation logic;
  • Acting as the technical authority for client security designs and technology roadmaps;
  • Leading SOC maturity initiatives in support of CREST accreditation;
  • Identifying and introducing technologies that enhance analyst effectiveness, including automation and AI.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing or owning security architectures within SOC, MSSP or complex security environments.
  • Strong understanding of detection engineering and SOC operations.
  • Ability to oversee security platforms and integrations holistically.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance and accreditation frameworks such as CREST.
  • Experience assuring technical architectures using secure‑by‑design principles.
  • Existing SC or DV clearance.
