Job Description
The job at a glance:
- Lead and grow Stepstone's Business Analysis team, setting standards for discovery and requirements quality across complex initiatives and roadmap work.
- The Business Analysis function sits at the intersection of Business, Product, and Technology, partnering closely with Product and Tech to enable effective discovery, prioritisation, solution design, and delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead the BA function: own the vision, operating model, and best practices for business analysis across Stepstone.
- Partner with Product and Tech: build strong relationships with Product and Technology leadership to align on goals, scope, feasibility, and delivery approach.
- Ensure strong discovery and requirements: oversee gap analysis, stakeholder alignment, and requirements definition for complex initiatives, ensuring work is ready for development teams.
- Develop the team: line-manage, coach, and grow Business Analysts; implement skills and career frameworks; build a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence.
- Set governance and consistency: put in place lightweight governance for requirements capture and analysis that balances autonomy with cross-company consistency.
Qualifications
Your skills and qualifications:
- Significant experience leading the Business Analysis function in large, complex, fast-paced organisations.
- Strong people leadership: building, coaching, and scaling high-performing Business Analysis teams.
- Proven ability to assess business analysis and organisational maturity, identify systemic issues, and drive improvement in analysis quality and outcomes.
- Expert in discovery and requirements (elicitation, validation, refinement) for complex initiatives and change.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication: able to align Business, Product, and Tech leaders and translate insights into actionable analysis artefacts and clear requirements.
