Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join SRE’s Business Development team.
The individual will be responsible for supporting the firm’s real estate business development efforts across primaries, co-investments and secondaries. Responsibilities will include supporting fundraising processes, content creation, and periodic interactions with existing and prospective clients.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop content for marketing and due diligence materials including presentations, fact cards, private placement memorandums, due diligence questionnaires, etc.
- Prepare responses to requests for information and proposals, track record analyses, third‑party databases, competitor benchmarking and investor requests.
- Manage investor pipelines via Salesforce, tracking progression and preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and execution of investor meetings and roadshows including materials and tracking follow‑up.
- Collaborate across departments including research, asset and portfolio management, RFP, legal and compliance, tax, and portfolio reporting and analytics.
- Contribute to other business development initiatives as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2–6 years of relevant work experience from financial services firms (e.g., private equity, capital advisory/placement agents, investment banks).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); proficiency with AI tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Experience with Salesforce or Intralinks desirable.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the firm in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self‑starter with the ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with private markets performance metrics to accurately maintain track record materials, support fund benchmarking, and respond to investor requests.
