Steps Ahead Care & Support, established in 2009, is rated OUTSTANDING by CQC and specializes in acquired brain injury, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour. We offer bespoke packages to clients in their own homes, and our support team promotes clients\’ independence by providing community-based and rehabilitation support.
We are looking to recruit passionate & enthusiastic support workers to join Team Steps and be part of a rewarding and person-centred environment.
This role is based in Melksham, working on a 2-1 package. We have various hours available on a full-time, part-time, and agency basis. Full client-specific training will be provided to all support workers.
Our client is a professional gentleman who was previously in the military. His Rehab Assistants will help organize his working day, support him in the gym with his rehabilitation program, and assist with exercises and stretches at home. Candidates will also need to drive the client to hospital, medical, or rehab appointments, following professional advice and guidance.

We have a range of part-time, full-time, and agency hours available, including full day and 24-hour shifts.
Responsibilities will include:
- Arranging and supporting attendance at appointments
- General upkeep of the property
- Accessing the community
- Assisting with the client’s rehabilitation program
- Providing personal care
Requirements for the position:
- Experience with acquired spinal injuries is preferred
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated individuals
- Six months of health and social care experience is preferable; transferable skills and personal experience will also be considered
