We are looking for a confident Sleep-In Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working 7 nights on and 7 nights off, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Riverside House. Riverside House is situated close to the town of Newnham on Severn in Gloucestershire. We provide a safe and comfortable environment where people are supported to live as independently as possible and to be an active part of their community.

Our goal is to help the people we support to lead full and happy lives. We work closely with each person to find out their strengths, abilities and preferences. This allows us to provide truly personalised care that’s centred on the individual.

You will actively work from 19:00pm to 22:00pm, sleeping then until 07:00am. If the home is unsettled you will be required to remain awake to support until settled, and could be woken for emergencies.

Your day-to-day…

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
