We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our highly regarded Stepping Stones Day Nursery Team in Urmston as a Senior Nursery Practitioner!

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team to deliver high standards of quality childcare practices.
• Support your Nursery Manager to develop the overall performance of the nursery.
• Observe, assess, and plan effectively in order to deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care for children in the early years.
• Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to the children so they can access continuous provision, play, learn and develop.
• To safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children.
• To be aware of the signs of abuse and neglect and how to report these.
• To have a great knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) safeguarding and welfare requirements.
• To liaise with external agencies and parents to provide the best care for children.
• To communicate effectively, giving direction and support to other practitioners throughout the nursery wherever needed.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Full and relevant DfE recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above i.e. Diploma in Nursery Nursing, NNEB or NVQ Level 3 as a minimum requirement.
If you are successful with your application, you will be required to complete a DBS Enhanced Application or present a current DBS Certificate that has been registered to the DBS Subscription Update Service.
