As a Housing Management Officer at Stepping Stone Projects, you will support customers living at Stamford Villa to sustain their tenancies, maintain stable accommodation and achieve greater independence. Working within our 13-flat accommodation service for men, you will deliver effective housing management, support customers to develop practical life skills such as budgeting and tenancy management, and help them work towards positive move-on housing opportunities.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Stamford Villa service, a 13-flat accommodation project for men. As a Housing Management Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering an effective housing management service, ensuring customers are supported to maintain their tenancies while living in a safe, secure and well-managed environment.
Working directly with customers, you'll provide guidance around tenancy responsibilities, budgeting and move-on options, helping individuals build the skills needed to sustain independent living. You'll also be responsible for property inspections, health and safety checks and working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive housing outcomes for customers.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting customers living at Stamford Villa to sustain their tenancies, manage their accommodation successfully and work towards greater independence.
- Building positive, professional relationships with customers, providing guidance around tenancy responsibilities, budgeting and independent living skills.
- Carrying out tenancy management activities, including property inspections, health and safety checks, void management and ensuring accommodation standards are maintained.
- Completing support plans, needs assessments and risk assessments, regularly reviewing progress and identifying appropriate actions to promote positive outcomes.
- Supporting customers to identify and access suitable move-on accommodation, helping them prepare for successful transitions into more independent housing.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive tenancy outcomes, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
About You

- Have experience supporting people to sustain their tenancies and achieve positive housing outcomes.
- Are able to build positive, professional relationships and provide guidance around tenancy responsibilities, budgeting and independent living skills.
- Have experience carrying out property inspections, health and safety checks, risk assessments or other housing management responsibilities.
- Can effectively assess needs, manage risk and develop person-centred plans that support individuals to achieve their goals.
- Are confident supporting customers to explore and access suitable move-on accommodation and greater independence.
- Are able to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies, while maintaining accurate records and promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive tenancy outcomes.
