Senior Travel Specialist (Africa)
The primary role is to generate sales above and beyond a given target via the creation and implementation of bespoke travel itineraries within the Africa team.

Responsibilities
- Creating high end, bespoke travel itineraries
- Ensure product is aligned with Steppes Positive Impact Travel ethos
- Engaging with clients to ensure excellent customer care before, during and after travel
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Following up on leads & client feedback
Skills/experience required
- Strong knowledge of Africa
- Experience of working within the travel industry creating high-end itineraries
- Excellent written, oral and sales skills
- Extremely high standards of customer service
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a pressurised environment and to strict deadlines
- Positive attitude towards teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Strong organisational skills
- Willingness to be stretched in reaching demanding sales targets
Terms and conditions
- Hours of work are 09:00 – 17:30 hours, Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00 Friday, and occasionally over weekends and evenings (e. g. if attending supplier and trade events as required)
- Paid holidays – up to 33 days (which includes 8 bank holidays)
- Up to two days a week working from home
- Pension, private healthcare and travel insurance – contributory after a six-month probationary period
- Full-time position at 37.5 hours
