  • Secondary School Oxford, Oxfordshire
  • Monday to Friday - Full-Time
  • Ideally suited for aspiring teachers
  • The successful graduate must
  • A graduate with a degree in English or a related subject (2:2 or higher)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young people.
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.
  • Experience working with young people, either in a volunteer or professional capacity, is desirable but not essential.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude toward learning and teaching.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities for your role

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in English language and literature.
  • Work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning and improve understanding of English concepts.
  • Assist with classroom management, helping to create a productive, positive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Help with preparing teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide additional support for students with special educational needs (SEN), as required.
  • Encourage confidence, creativity, and a love of learning in students.
