We are working in partnership with a dedicated and nurturingSEND specialist primary school in Liverpool (L27)to recruit a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start. Interviews will be held throughout June/July.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils withcomplex needs, includingSpecial Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)andSocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)needs. You will play a vital role in helping children access education, develop key life skills, and build confidence in a supportive, structured environment.

Role Details:

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
- Pay: £500-£530 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND and SEMH needs
- Supporting children with communication difficulties, including non-verbal pupils
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
- Helping to implement individual learning plans and tailored interventions
- Supporting sensory activities and adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and engaged
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
We’re Looking For Graduates Who:
- Hold (or are predicted) a 2:2 degree or above
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Are patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Are comfortable working with children who may have complex behaviours
- Can remain calm, consistent, and supportive in challenging situations
- Are committed for the full academic year (September 2026 - July 2027)
- Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
