At Step Into Teaching, we are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in York to recruit enthusiastic Maths and English graduates for Graduate Academic Mentor roles starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers to build hands‑on experience within a supportive school environment while making a real impact on students’ learning and progress.
The Role
- Support students across the school through small group intervention sessions
- 1:1 academic support
- Classroom assistance alongside experienced teachers
- Helping students build confidence and engagement in Maths or English
- Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
You will become an integral part of the school community while developing the skills and experience needed for a future career in education.
