Step Into Teaching are seeking graduates for a lovely Primary school in Burgess Hill (West Sussex) offering full time roles starting ASAP and continuing into September. As a Graduate Academic Coach, you will work closely with our staff to support students' learning and contribute to the development of a positive and engaging learning environment. The Opportunity

  • Graduates with a 2:2 or above Hons degree required
  • Aspiring educational psychologists/SEN Teachers
  • 1:1 & Small Group work
  • Burgess Hill, West Sussex
  • Full-time roles – Monday - Friday - Term time only
  • Β£500 - Β£530 per week

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • A genuine interest in education and helping students achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support students with additional learning needs (desirable but not essential).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those who require additional assistance.
  • Help create and prepare teaching resources and materials.
  • Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Provide feedback on students' progress and help identify areas for improvement.
  • Support students with special educational needs, if required.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as needed.
  • Help with administrative tasks, including tracking student attendance and progress.
