Graduate Academic Coach

Location: Exeter Secondary School

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (term time)

Pay: £520 – £530 per week - Starting in ASAP

About the Role

This role is supporting as a general TA and supporting with cover when needed in the school.

Our Step Into Teaching program offers a year-long, full-time placement in a local school, giving you the opportunity to gain vital experience before starting teacher training.

As part of this program, you’ll work closely with teachers and pupils every day, developing practical skills and confidence in the classroom while making a real difference to young people’s lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities.
  • Helping deliver lesson plans if there is absence within the school
  • Supporting in class as a TA while helping with some cover
  • Helping create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and resources.
  • Gaining first‑hand experience of school life, preparing you for teacher training.
