Step Into Teaching are supporting a college in Coventry who are seeking Maths & English Graduate Academic Coaches. If you hold a degree in maths or English, then this could be the ideal position for you. The school are looking for graduates that are enthusiastic about mathematics and have a genuine desire to better the educational outcomes of the pupils they work with.
The opportunity:
- Graduate Academic Coach
- Hold a maths degree (or related) with a 2:2 or above
- College in Coventry, West Midlands
- Full-time role, Monday - Friday
- £500 - £530 per week pro rata - term time only
- Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training
The successful graduate must:
- A graduate with a degree in Mathematics or English (A-Levels in relevant subject if no relevant degree)
- A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for education and helping students succeed.
Key responsibilities for your role:
- Support classroom activities and assist in delivering Mathematics lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Help to monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with homework and assignments.
- Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.
