We are working with a highly supportive specialist SEN area within a primary school in the Birmingham area (B37) that is seeking a committed and compassionate graduate to join their team for the new academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain in‑depth, real‑world experience within a specialist setting, working closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs and making a meaningful impact every single day.
This role is perfect for an aspiring teacher or future Educational Psychologist looking to build essential experience in a specialist education environment.
The Opportunity
- Start date: ASAP (new academic year)
- Full‑time role, Monday to Friday
- Weekly pay: £500 – £530, term time only
- Opportunity to continue into the 2026/27 academic year

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialist skills in SEN education within a structured, nurturing, and well‑supported school setting.
Your Role
- Support pupils with a range of complex Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to deliver tailored interventions
- Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans (IEPs/EHCPs)
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN specialists
- Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development

- Educated to degree level (2:2 or above preferred)
- Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs
- Patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
- Calm, consistent, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
- Strong communicators and effective team players
- Eager to learn and develop within a specialist education setting
