The Role
As a Paralegal within our Commercial Dispute & Resolution team, you will support solicitors in handling a varied caseload of commercial litigation, disputes and contentious matters. This role offers exposure to fast‑paced litigation work, often involving tight deadlines and court hearings, making it an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic legal environment. You will work closely with experienced solicitors on a broad range of commercial disputes while developing your legal and professional skills. You will play a key role in supporting case progression, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting solicitors with the day‑to‑day management of commercial litigation files
- Assisting with matters including contract disputes, construction disputes, shareholder disputes and debt recovery claims
- Drafting legal documents including correspondence, court documents, witness statements and letters of advice
- Preparing instructions to counsel and undertaking legal research
- Communicating with clients, insurers, experts and other professionals via telephone, email and correspondence
- Attending client meetings, conferences and court hearings where appropriate
- Managing and progressing files proactively to meet deadlines and achieve positive outcomes
- Recording time accurately and supporting fee earners in achieving targets
- Maintaining accurate records via the case management system and diary management
- Supporting business development activity, including contributing to blogs and website content
- Carrying out administrative tasks and supporting wider team activities
You will also have the opportunity to be part of a structured development and training pathway, with clear progression routes towards qualification as a solicitor via training contract or SQE apprenticeship routes.

- A proactive, motivated and professional approach to work
Desirable
It would be beneficial, though not essential, if you also have:
- Previous experience in commercial or civil litigation
- Experience drafting legal documents or preparing bundles
