The Role

  • Role: Accounts Assessor Interventions
  • Salary: Dependant on experience
  • Office base: Wigan, WN3 5BA
  • 35 hours per week

What Makes This Role Great

Working with us in the Interventions Team will give you a unique insight into legal finance, regulatory compliance, and client care. You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Attending interventions across the UK
  • Reviewing and reconciling financial records
  • Producing reconciled lists of accounts for Statutory Trust funds
  • Analysing client ledgers to determine beneficial entitlement
  • Locating supporting evidence from accounting material or client files
  • Liaising with clients and third parties to verify transactions
  • Supporting the claims process and reporting to regulatory bodies
  • Assisting with monthly billing and administrative tasks

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Qualifications
  • Essential: Relevant work experience in legal accounts or solicitors firm
  • Desirable: Experience as a Legal Cashier
  • Experience
  • Essential: Experience of dealing with customers/clients
  • Experience of working with financial accounts
  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of enquiries
  • Desirable: Experience of using various case management systems/accounts software
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • Essential: Good standard of IT skills (including Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Adaptable and methodical with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Client care/customer service skills
  • Ability to read financial ledgers
  • Desirable: Knowledge and understanding of interventions
  • Solicitors Accounts Rules
