Role

Position: Accounts Assessor โ€“ Interventions
Salary: Dependant on experience
Office base: Wigan, WN3 5BA
Hours: 35 hours per week

What Makes This Role Great

  • Working with us in the Interventions team will give you a unique insight into legal finance, regulatory compliance, and client care.
  • Youโ€™ll gain hands-on experience in: Attending interventions across the UK; Reviewing and reconciling financial records; Producing reconciled lists of accounts for Statutory Trust funds; Analysing client ledgers to determine beneficial entitlement; Locating supporting evidence from accounting material or client files; Liaising with clients and third parties to verify transactions; Supporting the claims process and reporting to regulatory bodies; Assisting with monthly billing and administrative tasks.

About You

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Relevant work experience in legal accounts or solicitors firm

Desirable:

  • Experience as a Legal Cashier

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of dealing with customers/clients
  • Experience of working with financial accounts
  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of enquiries

Desirable:

  • Experience of using various case management systems/accounts software

Knowledge & Skills

Essential:

  • Good standard of IT skills (including Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Adaptable and methodical with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Client care/customer service skills
  • Ability to read financial ledgers

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and understanding of interventions
  • Solicitors Accounts Rules
