We have an exciting opportunity for an Instructor Technician in Agriculture and Countryside Management to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. In this role, you will use your expertise to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals—helping students understand not just how things are done, but the vital why behind modern agricultural practice. Your support will directly contribute to shaping the future of a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.

As an Instructor, you will support teaching across our land-based provision, utilising a wide breadth of agriculture knowledge and experience. Whether you’re currently working within the agricultural sector and seeking your first teaching opportunity, or already have experience in education, we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for innovation—bringing fresh ideas and emerging technologies into the learning environment.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting, delivering, and assessing engaging practical sessions across Agriculture and Countryside Management.
  • Supporting and guiding students through practical learning and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Land based curriculum.
  • Ensuring high standards of health, safety, and welfare across all teaching and practical activity areas.
  • Working as a technician on the college farm and estate to provide support and expertise whilst maintaining the college environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong, up-to-date industry experience in agriculture and countryside management.
  • A passion for inspiring the next generation, with the ability to explain practical application clearly.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with confidence delivering to learners of varying abilities.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.

With an extensive 850-acre estate, including a mixed-use livestock and arable farm, Brooksby College offers an exceptional practical setting.
