We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Assistant to join our team on a part‑time, term‑time only basis. This role is part of a busy, vibrant college canteen, helping to deliver a positive dining experience for students and staff, supporting internal catering, stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient business operations
- Offer a friendly welcoming face during food service in the box office or campus kitchen
- Communicate with chefs regarding allergen and ingredient information prior to food service
- Ensure displays are fully stocked and well presented at all times, ensuring efficient stock rotation
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a café or other commercial catering outlet
- Highly organised, calm, with great interpersonal skills
- Possess a positive can‑do attitude to work
This role is a term‑time only position working 36 weeks throughout the year and follows FE/HE term times.
