Team Structure:
The Real Estate Finance team is part of our Debt Finance practice which in turn is part of our wider Finance practice group. The Debt Finance team deals with a wide range of transactional financings including real estate finance, leveraged finance, asset-based and special situations lending, secured and unsecured corporate lending, non-contentious debt restructurings and distressed situations involving corporate trustees. This role is for a dedicated Real Estate finance associate, but there will be opportunities to deploy and broaden your skill set supporting other teams within the Debt Finance practice.
This role is for an experienced Associate, to join our market-leading real estate finance team. Our team operates in the upper mid-market and we are looking for someone who has in-depth experience of that market. The size and profile of our transactions is increasing, so this is an excellent chance to benefit from and contribute to our growing reputation for complex, high value work as well as having the opportunity to share responsibility for more straightforward deals.
You will work on a mix of both borrower and lender side transactions and the ideal candidate will have experience of both. Your clients will include domestic and international banks, private capital lenders, sponsors and corporates.
You can expect to gain experience across a broad spectrum of acquisition and development financings, as well as cashflow lending transactions secured by operational assets such as hotels and care homes. You would also work alongside our dedicated real estate, planning and construction teams who collaborate seamlessly with the finance specialists as one transaction team when acting for our real estate finance clients.
You will join a team with an ambitious growth strategy backed by our senior leadership, in a role which offers room for career progression. There is genuine long term partnership track for the right candidate.
Much of the work is cross-border for which you will be navigating the challenges that can arise in overseas jurisdictions in order to ensure a smooth process.
