Main Responsibilities
After induction with Stephenson Harwood, you will work on secondment at one of the firm's largest and most valued clients for an anticipated period of 6 months (or potentially more â to be agreed at the time), providing support to their internal legal team. You will continue to liaise with Stephenson Harwood personnel for administrative purposes, but will otherwise work for and with lawyers in the client's inâhouse legal function. The client is part of a multinational group, with a London office near Tower Bridge. The client is a leader in the health and benefits industry worldwide. You would be expected to work on site at their London office when required, and to function as part of their team, which is a friendly and sophisticated legal team. The anticipated work will include support on contractual and commercial matters, including data protection issues, primarily advisory and will usually involve a significant amount of responsibility. The right candidate would be expected to demonstrate strong academic, personal and organisational skills, with a willingness to act on various matters at the same time.
Responsibilities
When not on secondment, and after the secondment period comes to an end, you may continue working as a paralegal within Stephenson Harwood, supporting the EPP team and offering support as needed (which may also include providing support to other departments in the firm if required). These responsibilities include:
- Drafting document checklists
- Contract drafting and negotiations
- Performing legal and factual research tasks
- Preparing correspondence, reports and basic notes of advice
- Carrying out bundling and drafting as and when needed
- Case management â including organisation and tracking case files

- Excellent drafting, presentation and communication skills
- Previous paralegal experience, ideally inâhouse, is preferred
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel) and doc review platforms
- Organised, with good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines, including putting in additional hours where necessary
- Team player and personable manner
- Proactive and resilient
