Team Structure
We are recruiting for an experienced Events Manager to join our high‑performing events team on an FTC basis as maternity cover. The events team manage a wide range of events for the London office, and occasionally internationally, including client seminars, drinks receptions, in‑house dinners and at external venues and a large annual off‑site conference. The Events Manager will manage events independently and where needed support the Senior Events Manager on high‑profile events. In addition, the role will manage events‑related operational areas, initiatives and projects. The role will have one direct report (the Events Assistant) and will also work closely with the Events Executive.
Responsibilities
The Events Manager will be responsible for the end‑to‑end planning, delivery and evaluation of client‑facing and internal events for Stephenson Harwood. Working closely with partners, the wider BD & marketing team and business services colleagues, this role will deliver high‑quality, business‑focused events that support the firm’s strategic objectives, strengthen client relationships and enhance our brand. The core working hours will be 9.30am‑5.30pm each day; however, you will be expected to flex working hours to support events that run out of hours. This will change each week depending on the events’ calendar. Most events are booked six weeks in advance so you will know your schedule in advance (typically Tuesday‑Thursday’s will finish later to cater to event needs). You will be expected to work from the office three days per week to be aligned with the events calendar.
