We are supporting a single family office (SFO) in its search for a Chair to help guide the next phase of its growth. The appointment is part-time, and private equity and fundraising experience is essential. The SFO builds and invests in businesses across logistics real estate, life sciences, and technology, with a focus on early-stage opportunities. This is a hands-on role for a senior leader with experience of scaling investment platforms. The Chair will work closely with the Principal and leadership team to bring greater structure, sharper focus, and long-term alignment across the SFO's strategy, people, capital, and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategy: Support the development and oversight of business unit and group-level strategies. Provide independent challenge and help calibrate risk and return expectations.
- People: Contribute to key leadership appointments across the Group. Advise on talent strategy and incentive design.
- Fundraising: Guide the firm’s transition from balance-sheet-led investment to third-party capital. Shape fundraising narratives and identify suitable partners across business units.
- Performance: Help establish more institutional processes for tracking financial and operational results. Ensure business units are measured against clear plans.
Profile:
