Stephenson Academy provides education for students both male and female aged between 9 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all. We have a cohort of staff who are from all walks of life which has created a truly dynamic and diverse team.

- A mentor with the ability to be creative and use imaginative flair to engage our young people, helping them to be more resilient and access education more effectively.
- A person skilled in building relationships with everyone, no matter who they are and what their barriers to learning might be.
- An understanding individual who can put themselves in others' shoes but also communicate other perspectives, to enhance our students' understanding of the world.
- A team player, who can work well with staff and students alike and can communicate at the young person's level in a calm and professional way.
