The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Legal Support Assistant to join our busy and successful Residential Property Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent administrative support, exceptional client service and is looking to develop a career within the legal sector.
As a Legal Support Assistant, you will provide vital administrative and client support to our Residential Property team, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly and clients receive a first-class experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Legal Advisors with the day-to‑day administration of residential property matters
- Opening new client files and carrying out onboarding procedures
- Assisting with client due diligence and compliance checks
- Preparing correspondence, documents, and legal forms
- Managing diaries, appointments, and team inboxes
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
- Taking telephone calls and responding to client enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Requesting and processing searches and other documentation
- Supporting post‑completion administration and Land Registry submissions
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are kept up to date
- Proactively monitoring and dealing with financial aspects on a file – flagging WIP, outstanding disbursements, raising invoices, liaising with credit control team
- File closures
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and client‑focused approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and other IT systems
- A willingness to learn and develop within a legal environment
Previous experience within a Residential Property or Conveyancing team would be advantageous but is not essential.
