USED CAR BUYER – REMOTE WORKING.
Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI is looking for a result driven, and detail orientated individual to join the group as a Used Car Buyer.
The role of Used Car Buyer is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most reputable franchises in the BMW network and collaborate on projects and contribute ideas to optimise our used car performance while developing your career with one of the world’s most admired brands in the automotive industry.
YOUR ROLE.
As a Used Car Buyer you will be responsible for sourcing and buying used car stock for our five centres located in in North London, Southeast London, and Kent. All vehicles will need to be aligned with approved used car standards and volume requirements whilst ensuring a profitable and good stock mix. You will be responsible for negotiating on price and controlling stock within the group used car department.
The main duties of the role include:
- Researching the used car market for price and demand trends
- Negotiate used car purchase prices and bidding on stock at auction
- Searching and obtaining specific vehicles from various sources
- Assist in valuations of customer offered vehicles, P/Xs and aging used car stock
- Ensure vehicles are accurately valued, undergo a full appraisal and thorough provenance checks.
- Achieve agreed monthly profit targets and vehicle PPU objectives
- Highlight any vehicles that become 60 days or over
- To build relationships with other dealer groups, leasing and disposal companies to ensure used stock is always readily available
YOUR PROFILE.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Great administration, diary management and business reporting skills
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills.
- Proven used car buying experience & have experience of working in a used car sales environment
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and have a valid clean UK Driving Licence for a minimum of 1 year
