Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home Stephen James Consulting is seeking an exceptional leader to manage a Children's Residential Home in Shrewsbury; our client operates a purpose-built children's home offering high-quality overnight short-break (respite) care for children and young people with disabilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team, shape the future of the service, and make a genuine, lasting difference to the lives of children and young people.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and supporting a team of care professionals
  • Overseeing daily operations of the service

  • Ensuring care is personalised, flexible, and of the highest standards Requirements:
  • We're looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who is passionate about achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people with disabilities.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification recognised under the Department for Education's Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations)
  • A strong working knowledge of Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework and the expectations of a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Excellent understanding of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the accompanying Quality Standards.

Additional Requirements * Participate in the **on-call rota** to provide operational support when required. * Flexibility to work **occasional weekends** in line with the needs of the service. * A full UK driving licence is desirable.
