Stephen James Consulting are working exclusively with a not-for-profit elderly care provider in the search for a “High Energy” Regulatory Manager across Nottinghamshire. This newly created role will report into the providers Nominated Individual and will support the respective care home portfolios.
These opportunities are perfect for a former or current CQC Inspector or experienced quality and compliance professional with an in-depth knowledge of the adult social care regulations, governance, and quality assurance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete and submit applications to the regulator for all new service acquisitions. Keeping up to date with regulatory changes within CQC, CIW and Care Inspectorate and cascade information within the organisation.
- Conduct comprehensive mock CQC inspections across nursing and residential homes, along with writing detailed inspection reports with clear action plans and recommendations.
- Keep the Statements of Purpose updated on an ongoing basis and distribute to the services. Oversight of the submission of Provider Information Returns (PIRs) for all services registered with CQC, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support managers with their registered manager applications and cancellations, while producing a monthly Regulatory & Registrations Update for the Senior Management Team.
- Responsibility for updating and maintaining data relating to inspections and registrations using the provider’s care systems and applications including Portfolio Management and maintaining accurate records relating to registrations, applications, certificates.
- Previous experience as a CQC Inspector, Quality Inspector, or Compliance Manager within adult social care.
- Excellent understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulation 2014 and the responsibilities of a registered provider with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Excellent analytical, numeracy and critical thinking skills. Articulate and able to lead and influence stakeholders. Outcome and solution focused. Ability to manage priorities. Values driven Manager.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection frameworks is essential.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to travel regularly across the care home portfolios.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
