Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a growing children's care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a brand-new therapeutic residential service based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the registration and launch of a new 2-bed home supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and sibling placements. The service has been developed to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can achieve positive outcomes and thrive.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the Ofsted registration process, developing the service, and building a positive culture from day one.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Ofsted registration process and support the successful launch of the home
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team
- Ensure the delivery of safe, therapeutic, and child-centred care
- Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, and company policies
- Support, mentor, and develop staff to achieve high standards of practice
- Monitor service quality and drive continuous improvement
- Build positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and external professionals
- Promote a positive and nurturing environment focused on achieving the best outcomes for children
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
- Successful experience of Ofsted registration and inspection processes
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care regulations
- Experience working within EBD or similar specialist settings
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or nearing completion
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
