Stephen James Consulting is working with one of its established elderly care providers in the search for a Deputy Home Manager based in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Home Manager or Clinical Lead Nurse to join a well-established nursing home delivering high-quality elderly, dementia and nursing care within a supportive environment.
The successful Deputy Home Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring outstanding clinical care, strong leadership and full CQC compliance across the home. This role would suit an experienced nurse-qualified leader looking to progress within elderly care and nursing home management.
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Home Manager:
- Support the Home Manager with the overall leadership and operational management of the nursing home
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred elderly and dementia care
- Provide strong clinical leadership and support to nurses, carers and senior care staff
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, medication management and CQC compliance
- Support recruitment, staffing, rotas, supervision and staff development
- Monitor care standards, audits and quality assurance within the nursing home
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders
- Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence and support occupancy and performance targets
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with an active UK NMC PIN (RGN or RMN)
- Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse within a nursing home environment
- Strong knowledge of elderly care, dementia care and nursing home regulations
- Good understanding of CQC standards, governance and compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care within elderly care services
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary between £55,000 – £60,000 + benefits
