Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a unique not elderly care provider to recruit a Home Manager for one of their care homes in Medway, Kent. This is a medium-sized residential/nursing home that requires a confident leader to bring structure, stability, and clear operational direction. The role is open to both RGN and Non-RGN candidates. While previous Home Manager experience is preferred, strong Deputy Managers ready to step up will also be considered. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with proven turnaround experience to take ownership of a service requiring improvement and drive it towards high-quality care, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery
  • Deliver turnaround plans to improve compliance, performance, and overall standards
  • Ensure full adherence to CQC and all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Provide strong leadership and support to all staff teams, promoting accountability and development
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and financial performance of the service
  • Maintain and improve care planning, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
  • Drive occupancy growth and enhance the home’s reputation locally
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, stakeholders, and regulators

Requirements
