Role Description
The Field Services Engineer (whitegoods) is a full-time, working from Stockport & Burnley.
The role involves visiting customer locations to install, diagnose, and repair whitegoods such as washing machines, refrigerators, and other domestic appliances.
Day-to-day tasks include Breakdowns,, carrying out technical assessments, and completing service reports accurately and on time.
The engineer will handle troubleshooting, provide technical support and guidance to customers, and ensure equipment is restored to safe, reliable operation.
The position also requires effective communication with the office team, ordering parts as needed, and delivering professional, courteous customer service during every visit.
Qualifications
- Strong field service experience, including on-site visits and hands-on work with whitegoods and domestic appliances.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to identify faults, resolve issues, and advise customers on safe use and basic care.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, including scheduled servicing, testing, and inspection of equipment to reduce breakdowns.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and maintain a professional, respectful demeanor.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or appliance engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
