What is the role?
An opportunity has arisen in our central London office, on Worship Street in Shoreditch.
The role is for a Midweight Interior Design with architectural experience or Architect with Cat A and B fit out and interiors expertise to work on existing and new projects within the logistics, interiors, and healthcare sectors.
What does the role entail?
- Working individually and with colleagues to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Leading on Retrofit and Refurbishment Cat A & B projects across various sectors.
- Taking early-stage client briefs and working these up to sketches to meet their standards.
- Visiting sites to gain an appreciation of the context and to carry out the necessary analysis.
- Producing and developing test-fits through RIBA stages.
- Co-ordinating with our internal CGI team images of the development when they are required.
- Attending upfront stakeholder meetings to add detail to the project brief.
- Working on the technical delivery information necessary to realise the design.
- The production of drawings, mainly in Revit, but occasionally AutoCAD.
- Working in small project-based teams within the office and digitally with other offices. The role may also require visits to our other offices in Leicester, Birmingham, Solihull and Leeds.
- Visiting external organisations’ offices for Design Team Meetings, site reviews, snagging and client and/or contractor meetings.
What Skills & Experience do I need to have?
- Lead roles or significant supporting roles on delivery projects.
- Proven use of Revit on construction projects and a good understanding of the package.
- Very good oral communication skills to build rapport with the client and the other parties involved in the project.
- Front end design experience on interior projects.
- Experience of working on delivery projects.
- Self-motivation and the ability to also work independently.
- An openness to take constructive feedback, which will be given to assist in your development.
- Accountability for the information produced, ensuring it meets the required standards that the practice adheres to.
- Excellent written and well-structured drawings skills.
- Adobe design suite proficient.
- Sketchup also beneficial but not essential.
