An opportunity has arisen in our Leicester office, within our busy mixed-use sector team. The role can be filled by someone who is an Architect or Architectural Technologist/Technician.
What does the role entail?
- Job running and potentially leading on several projects at varying stages of development and construction.
- Liaising with clients as they develop projects through the feasibility stage.
- Working up and submitting planning applications.
- A good technical knowledge of building regulations to answer queries from site and produce details.
- Understand the production information requirements for the Design & Build procurement process.
- Visiting site for Design Team Meetings, snagging, client/contractor meetings.
Who are we looking for to fill the role?
- Led on projects in the commercial sector.
- A track record of being accountable and meeting deadlines.
- Worked as a part of a team.
- An assertive nature and willingness to help others.
- Experience of working on projects in the commercial sector and be used to the fast-paced approach to construction in this sector.
- A good understanding of construction and technical detailing in order to produce clear and well-structured drawings.
- Used Revit and have a good competent understanding of the package and have delivered building from it previously.
Particularly advantageous competencies you will have:
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, whilst also being happy to help others in the team via support when workloads demand it.
- Be willing and open to take constructive feedback, which will be given to assist in your development.
- To have excellent written and oral communication skills.
