The primary focus of the ESM's role is to identify, reach out to and sell to companies that fit within the events profile. Current events include: 'DataCentres Ireland - Dublin' and 'Pan African DataCentres Exhibition & Conference – Jo' Burg, S. Africa.

Primarily an office/telephone based role, the ESM will be expected to be a motivated and well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers. Visiting similarly profiled competitive events and other industry events is required, to allow for face-to-face meetings with current and potential exhibitors, as well as to source new leads, build relationships and make sales.

The ESM must be able to be away from home for up to 6 days at a time, as they will be expected to be onsite when we are delivering our own exhibitions. The ability to communicate and persuade clients both verbally and in writing is paramount to the successful execution of this role. The focused nature of our events means every lead and potential customer is important, which means the ability to engage with clients is vital, as is prospecting for new customers and opportunities.

As part of the event team, and one that interacts with exhibitors, the ESM's will also have influence on the development of the events upon which they work, whether that be the long-term development of the event or the creation of features within the exhibition designed to increase sales.

Remuneration

The basic salary for this role is £25 – £33,000 depending on experience. This is a sales role where achievement brings rewards. It comes with an open-ended commission structure, designed to encourage the meeting and exceeding of targets, circa an additional £6 – £12,000 per annum.

Employee Progression

This will take the form of greater autonomy and responsibility for the event/s upon which they work, which may include new launches and the management of additional sales staff.

The Company

Stepex Ltd is a small, focused team of 4 people based in a rural setting in Pembury (use of a car is essential to access the office), which forms part of a group of events companies based in High Brooms/Tunbridge Wells. Whilst Stepex is able to launch events anywhere in the world, in recent years the company has concentrated on the growth and delivery of Irish and S. African based events. Post Covid, we are looking to secure new events, whether based in Ireland or around the world.
