While qualifications like the BCS Data Protection Practitioner Certificate or IAPP's CIPP/E Certificate are preferred, relevant experience is equally valued. Experience in FCA-regulated environments, charities, or other regulated settings, and the ability to independently lead compliance projects, will set you apart.

Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to understand complex regulatory and legal challenges are essential. Equally important are exceptional interpersonal skills—negotiation, influencing, relationship management—and empathy for the challenges faced by clients and colleagues.
