Here is a warm and inclusive primary school dedicated to fostering a love of learning in every student. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our Year 3 class, helping students thrive in their educational journey. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

  1. Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities across the Year 3 curriculum.
  2. Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students with their learning, both academically and socially.
  3. Assist with the management of the classroom, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment.
  4. Help prepare teaching resources and set up activities for lessons.
  5. Support students with additional learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  6. Observe and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  7. Assist with the delivery of interventions and additional support for struggling students.
  8. Encourage positive behaviour, helping students to develop social and emotional skills.
  9. Support students during break times and with pastoral care as needed.

Ideal Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

  1. Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  2. A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  3. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  4. A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
  5. Ability to engage and motivate children in their learning as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant.
  6. A positive attitude and commitment to working in an inclusive environment.
