Overview

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a great team. In this role, you will support teachers and pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can succeed. You will work with individuals and small groups, assist with lessons and activities, and help pupils develop confidence and skills. Beginning ASAP.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their learning, both in class and through small group work.
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and setting up activities.
  • Help manage behaviour in line with the schools policies.
  • Provide extra help for pupils who need additional support, including those with special educational needs.
  • Encourage positive attitudes to learning and good relationships between pupils.
  • Monitor and report on pupils progress to teachers.

Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
  • Be patient, supportive and adaptable.
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Be committed to helping every child reach their potential.
  • Be reliable, organised and able to use initiative.
