We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within a welcoming and inclusive school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Help to prepare classroom resources and maintain a purposeful learning environment
- Provide support for children with additional needs where required
- Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold school values
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people (in schools or other settings)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils and staff
- A caring and patient attitude
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
