We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team at a wonderful school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning and development in a supportive and inclusive primary setting. Beginning May 2025.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting pupils in class, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences
  • Helping to prepare learning materials and set up classroom activities
  • Encouraging pupils’ social and emotional development
  • Supporting children with additional needs, where required
  • Supervising pupils at playtimes and during transitions
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all children

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Has experience working with children (school, nursery or youth setting)
  • Is positive, patient, and motivated to help all pupils succeed
  • Works well as part of a team and uses initiative
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
  • Has good communication skills and a nurturing approach
  • (Desirable) Has a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
  • (Desirable) Has experience supporting children with SEND
